Perimeter of a Square
The perimeter of a square calculator finds the Perimeter of a square from its Side, or the side from the perimeter. The perimeter is the total length around the square. Enter one value and the other is calculated automatically.
How it works
A square has four equal sides, so:
\[ Perimeter = 4 \times Side \]
To find the side, divide the perimeter by 4.
Example
A square has sides of 5. The perimeter is 4 × 5 = 20. If you know the perimeter is 20, leave the side empty and the calculator finds 5.
